Cover Fabric Replacement
Just like your car tires, your pool cover’s fabric and components naturally wear down over time. When you notice early signs of deterioration, replacing the fabric is essential to ensure your cover remains safe and reliable.
When to Replace
Signs of Wear & Aging
Over time, chemicals, temperature changes, and UV light can damage your pool cover. Check for cracks, weak spots, or stiffness that may require replacement.
Feeling Stiff
Pool cover fabric should be pliable and supple. When a cover becomes too stiff and brittle, there’s a good chance the fabric may need to be replaced.
Stitching Degredation
Traditional sewn webbing is a likely source of cover problems. Sewn threads can become frayed, cut or disintegrate over time, leading to cover failure.
Webbing Bunching
Covers with sewn webbing have a tendency to bunch up around the rope, which may cause the fabric to catch and tear on the fabric guides.
